Local right from the beginning

Chevalier Wholesale Produce began in 1963 as a family-run fruit and vegetable retailer in Point Chevalier.

The owner and founder Ranji Chhita recognised an opportunity to expand the business by becoming a specialty wholesaler to the food service industry. This signalled the start of a long-term relationship with Spotless Catering. In the early 1980s, Chevalier commenced supplying cargo ships and cruise liners and branched out further in the late 1980s by exporting fresh produce to the Pacific Island region.

At Chevalier, we attribute our growth and success to very strong customer service values. In fact, everyone in the team is challenged to do their part by continually improving our processes and products.

The business is founded on strong family and business values and a determination to deliver both product and service excellence to our partners.
